Sarah Cook has a diverse work experience in various roles in the communications industry. Sarah started their career as an intern at Local 12 News in 2003 and worked their way up to become an Assistant Assignment Editor, Production Assistant, Associate Producer, and eventually a Producer. During their time at Local 12 News, Sarah gained experience in writing, editing, organizing scripts, and operating studio cameras.
In 2010, Sarah joined the Freestore Foodbank as a Public Relations Specialist. In this role, they handled all media relations for the organization and effectively communicated their story through various media outlets, website, and social media platforms. Sarah also served as a member of the Rubber Duck Regatta Steering Committee, working closely with the founder and gaining valuable experience for four years.
In 2018, Sarah transitioned to Vehr Communications as an Account Executive. Here, they are involved in developing, leading, and implementing marketing communication programs that include paid, earned, shared, and owned strategies. Sarah manages client programs and is responsible for budget development.
