Nick Doucette is an experienced project management professional with a strong background in environmental remediation and contracting. Currently serving as the Special Projects Manager at VEI Contracting Inc. since July 2025, Nick focuses on driving growth through leadership, supporting corporate strategy, and managing complex project portfolios. Prior to this role, Nick held multiple senior positions at QM Environmental, including Vice President of Special Projects & New Markets, where responsibilities included national strategy contribution and organic growth initiatives. Nick has demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, sensitive remediation projects across Canada and is skilled in project estimation, scheduling, and client management. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, accompanied by diverse co-op and research experiences, Nick brings a comprehensive technical background to the field.

VEI specializes in the remediation of soil, bedrock, groundwater and soil vapours for various contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and nutrients. We have implemented projects across Canada, as well as Internationally, and our mobile (portable) ECAs allow us to treat contaminated sites across Ontario using a wide variety of in-situ and ex-situ means starting in as little as ten days. Our services also include soil vapour and water treatment systems, building vapour intrusion mitigation measures, construction dewatering and High-Resolution Site Characterization services to delineate contamination in-situ. For unusual sites or contaminants we can also complete bench-scale testing in our in-house laboratory to identify the best approach to proceeding.
