Anouk Mentink

Anouk Mentink is a versatile professional with extensive experience in both emergency services and journalism. Since November 2016, Anouk has held multiple roles at Veiligheidsregio Haaglanden, including fire truck driver, rescue diver, and firefighter. Simultaneously, Anouk has worked as a journalist for various Dutch and international media outlets since September 2009, focusing on topics such as crime, health, and gastronomy, particularly in The Hague. Anouk served as a guest columnist for AD Haagsche Courant from January 2017 to May 2023 and previously reported on police and justice for AD NieuwsMedia from March 2012 to January 2016. Anouk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and has studied Cultural Anthropology and Developmental Sociology at Leiden University.
