Louis van Wijk

Louis van Wijk is an experienced professional in public safety and crisis management, currently serving as Team Leader for the Slachtofferinformatiesystematiek (SIS) at the Nederlands Instituut Publieke Veiligheid since April 2024. In addition, Louis holds the position of Head of Information Management for Population Care at Veiligheidsregio Hollands Midden since 2015, overseeing the information processes within community safety. Louis has a longstanding role as an Advisor for Safety, Disaster Response, and Crisis Management with the Municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk. As a Senior Consultant and Safety Advisor at Het Veiligheidsatelier, expertise is applied to integrated safety solutions. Past leadership as Chair of the Midden-Nederland group for the NVVK and experience as a Firemaster with Brandweer Hollands Midden further bolster a strong background in safety management. Louis's educational credentials include a degree in Public Safety from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
