Sofie Plenge

Sofie Plenge is the Director of Culture & Health at Vejle Kommune. Sofie has previously worked as a Chefkonsulent at KL, where they were responsible for municipal cultural policy with a focus on museums, music, and film.

Sofie is an expert in cultural policy and has a deep understanding of the legislative process, state and municipal management practices, and the inner workings of cultural institutions. Sofie is well-connected in the municipal landscape and has a wide knowledge of best practices from around the country.

Sofie is a strong advocate for the role of culture in society and its importance to the health and wellbeing of communities. Sofie is passionate about their work and dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality cultural experiences.

Sofie Plenge has a Master's Degree in Religionssociologi og retorik from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, a masters in Portuguese from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and an MA in sociology of religion from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Sofie also has a degree in Systemisk proceskonsulent from Inpraxis and a Sommerskole in Stakeholderrelationer, lobbyisme og public affairs from Copenhagen Business School.

They are on a team with Michael Sloth - Director of Technology & Environment, Thrine Rimdal Nørgaard - Personnel Manager, and Claus Svold - Director of Children & Youth. Sofie Plenge reports to Jens Ejner Christensen, Mayor & Chairman of Finance Committee.
