Jawad Iqbal

Jawad Iqbal, Ph.D., is a Scientist specializing in Target Discovery and Antibody Development at VERAXA Biotech GmbH since March 2022. Iqbal earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from Universität Greifswald, where the dissertation focused on pathogen-specific antibody responses in infective endocarditis and the characterization of antibacterial monoclonal antibodies, contributing to projects involving neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against S. aureus. Previous experience includes research assistance at the University of Geneva, where Iqbal explored the CCR4-Not complex's role in proteasome assembly and No-go decay, and lecturing at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, contributing to curriculum design and student evaluation.
