Muhammad Zahid Zahri

Muhammad Zahid Zahri has a diverse range of work experience in various engineering roles. Muhammad Zahid is currently working as an Operations Engineer at Velesto Energy Berhad since June 2022, responsible for overseeing operational activities. Prior to that, they worked as a Trainee Drilling Engineer at the same company from December 2019 to February 2023.

Before joining Velesto Energy Berhad, Zahid worked as an Installation Engineer at PKH Offshore from August 2018 to July 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the efficient execution of offshore and onshore works related to Bokor Wellhead Platforms.

Muhammad Zahid also worked briefly as an M&E Engineer at Pembinaan Yuen Seng Sdn.Bhd. from March 2018 to June 2018. Additionally, Zahid gained experience as a Trainee Engineer at MMC-Gamuda from July 2017 to December 2017, where they assisted senior engineers in various construction projects, including the relocation of underground utilities.

Zahid started their career as an Apprentice (On The Job Training) at Aluminium Company of Malaysia Berhad (ALCOM) for a short period in April 2017. Muhammad Zahid also has experience in the retail industry, where they worked as a Retail Sales Crew at Switch (Apple Premium Reseller) in April 2014, providing customer service and driving sales.

Muhammad Zahid Zahri completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University London between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA from 2011 to 2014. Muhammad Zahid'ssecondary school education includes a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) in the Science Stream from Kuala Selangor Science Secondary School in 2009-2010, and a Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) in the Science Stream from the same school between 2006 and 2008.

Additionally, Zahid Zahri has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they earned certifications in Loss Prevention System & SSHE from Terengganu Safety Training Centre Sdn Bhd, Noise Awareness Training from Velesto Energy Berhad, and Safe Handling of Chemical from Velesto Energy Berhad. Muhammad Zahid also completed Tropical BOSIET with CAEBS and Travel Safely by Boat (OPITO approved) training from MSTS Asia. In 2021, they obtained PETRONAS Permit To Work (PTW) Level 1 certification from PETRONAS.
