Sazlyna Sapiee started their work experience in 1994 as a General Manager at Faber Group (UEM Group). Sazlyna worked in this position until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Regional Financial Controller at Scomi Group Bhd. In 2010, they joined Sapura Energy Berhad as a Financial Controller, and later served as the Chief Internal Auditor from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, they became the Group Financial Controller and held this position until 2020. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Velesto Energy Berhad. Additionally, in 2023, they will join Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan as an Audit & Risk Committee member.

Sazlyna Sapiee attended Holborn Law Tutors in London from 1983 to 1984, where they pursued A Levels. Following this, from 1984 to 1987, they studied at ACCA, obtaining a degree in Accountancy. In 2023, Sazlyna Sapiee completed a Certificate of Completion in Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emission from the University of Cambridge.
