Jeff Russell

CFO at Velir

Jeff Russell has a long and successful career in finance. Jeff began their professional career as an Admissions Intern at Babson College in 2005. Jeff then moved to The New York Times where they held several positions, starting as a Financial Analyst I and ending as a Director of Finance. In 2013, they joined iProspect as Vice President of Finance, where they helped lead the company's transformational growth. In 2021, they became the SVP Managing Director of Finance at dentsu international, where they partnered with CEO's and executive teams to develop and implement strategies on revenue growth, pricing, personnel scaling, contract negotiation, operational improvement, budget/forecast attainment, and risk mitigation. Jeff currently holds the position of CFO at Velir, which they started in 2022.

Jeff Russell received their Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College in 2006. Jeff then returned to Babson College in 2017 to obtain their Master of Business Administration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, in 2010, they completed the Emerging Leaders Program at UMass Boston. In September 2020, they obtained a certification in Difficult Conversations: Talking About Race at Work from LinkedIn.
