Sean Dailey

Sean Dailey has over 20 years of professional work experience in the IT field. Sean began their career in 1997 as a Customer Support Representative for iCi. Sean then worked as a Network Engineer for Winstar Communications. In 2005, they joined AKUITY Technologies as a Network Engineer and was responsible for providing break fix of business systems and building out of EMC projects. In 2008, they worked as a Systems Administrator for The Riverbend School, managing a 3 building campus and a mixed Windows SBS 2008 R2, Win 7, XP and Mac environment. Sean also worked as a Network Engineer for TCG Networks, providing small and medium business network planning, building, administering, maintenance and consulting to 35 clients in the MA NH RI and PA. In 2010, they became an IT Consultant and Project Manager for Semilab AMS, directing all IT needs for an international semiconductor and wafer manufacture. Finally, in 2012, they joined Velir as an Associate Director of Cloud Services. In this role, they provided thought leadership and expertise in the areas of cloud when consulting with business units to determine technical requirements, feasibility and expectations. Sean also designed and implemented multi-tier architecture solutions that were highly available and fault tolerant. Sean worked with IAAS, PAAS, Configuration Management systems and CI/CD pipelines. Most recently, they have been designing architecture and then building Global .NET PAAS and SAAS applications that are highly scale-able on Azure using web apps, CDN, Azure FrontDoor and traffic manager. Theirskills include Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture, Xen/Citrix, VMWare, Windows and Linux server administration, Microsoft SQL and MYSQL database administration, MongoDB implementation, network engineering, purchasing, infrastructure, security planning and implementation with a focus on risk management and DevOPs integration with a focus on relentless automation.

Sean Dailey attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, though no degree or field of study is specified. Sean has also obtained several certifications, including Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions from Microsoft in December 2016, MCSA: Cloud Platform from Microsoft in December 2016, Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions from Microsoft in August 2015, Successfully Managing People from the American Management Association in July 2015, and MongoDB DBA 102 from MongoDB, Inc. in February 2015.
