Sherri Alexander has over 20 years of experience in web development. Sherri began their career in 1994 as a User Services Coordinator at Swarthmore College, where they created web pages for various divisions of the Computing Center and served as Webmaster for the College. In 1997, they moved on to Admed, Inc, where they worked as a Web Designer, conceptualizing, designing, and implementing large web sites for corporate clients in the pharmaceutical and medical fields. In 1999, they joined Aquent Partners as a Web Developer, meeting new challenges and solving problems at a variety of companies. In 2000, they worked at Bosha Design as a Web Developer, and then at Refinery as a Senior Web Developer, where they hand-coded templates using HTML and CSS. In 2002, they started their own business, Sherri Alexander Web Development, where they created unique and highly functional websites for companies like National Geographic, Prudential, Mass General, SAP, and Biogen. In 2007, they joined Corey McPherson Nash as a Senior Web Developer, coding front-end templates mainly for educational institutions and biotech firms. In 2016, they moved to CGI Interactive as a Senior Web Developer, developing websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Craft CMS, WordPress, and Greensock Animation Platform (GSAP) animations. In 2019, they joined Velir as the Associate Director of Front End Development, and later became the Director of Front End Development.

Sherri Alexander obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. In September 2022, they obtained the certification "React: Building Styles with CSS Modules" from LinkedIn.
