Nicolas Giron

Nicolas Giron has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Nicolas currently holds the position of VP of Engineering at VELMENI, a role they started in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at VELMENI from September 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining VELMENI, Nicolas was a Staff MLOps Engineer at Mistplay, starting in October 2022. Nicolas previously worked at Collective[i] as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) from October 2019 to August 2022. At Collective[i], they contributed to the development and implementation of AI and predictive analytics technologies for B2B sales organizations.

Nicolas also has experience as a DevOps Architect Consultant at LINKBYNET, where they established the DevOps team of Montreal and guided clients in their DevOps transformation and cloud migration projects from June 2018 to October 2019. Nicolas worked as a DevOps Engineer at VECTAURY from May 2017 to May 2018, focusing on infrastructure management.

Prior to their DevOps roles, Nicolas served as a Senior Infrastructure Consultant at Sogeti from March 2016 to May 2017, providing expertise in infrastructure management. Nicolas began their career as a System & Network Administrator at Automatisme et Techniques Avancees SA in November 2013, responsible for managing IT and telecommunications equipment, along with user support. From November 2011 to October 2013, they worked as a System & Network Administrator at Webcentric-Fanaticalhelp, where they handled computer management and infrastructure setup for multiple clients.

Nicolas's early career encompassed a software developer role at the Ministère de la Défense, where they worked from July 2010 to October 2011. Throughout their career, Nicolas has consistently demonstrated expertise in areas such as DevOps, infrastructure management, and software development.

Nicolas Giron has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and information technology. Nicolas started their education journey in 2005 at Lycée Victor Hugo in Hennebont, France, where they obtained a Baccalauréat in Economics and Social Sciences in 2006.

In 2006-2007, they attended Lycée Coëtlogon in Rennes, France, where they pursued a professional degree in Micro Computer Science and Network: Installation and Maintenance. Nicolas completed this program in 2007.

Following that, Nicolas enrolled in Lycée Ile de France in Rennes, France, from 2007 to 2009. Nicolas pursued a BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) in Computer Science Management during this time.

In 2009-2010, Nicolas studied at Lycée Saint Joseph in Pléneuf Val André, France, where they focused on Telecom and Network Training with an emphasis on computer science.

Alongside their academic pursuits, Nicolas Giron has also obtained various certifications. Nicolas became a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) through the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) in August 2018. In the same year, they also achieved the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification from the CNCF. Nicolas further expanded their knowledge by earning the Google Cloud Platform - Associate Cloud Engineer and Google Cloud Platform - Professional Cloud Architect certifications from Google in January 2019. In 2022, they attained the Certified Kubernetes & Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification, again through the CNCF. Furthermore, they possess the Varonis (VCTA-I, VCTA-ODA) certification from Varonis obtained in May 2011. Lastly, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA1) certification from Cisco in June 2007.
