Matthew Riell

Lead Architect at Velocitor Solutions

Matthew Riell has extensive work experience in the field of software development and consulting. Matthew started their career as a Consultant at Progressive Software in 1997, where they worked on designing and programming enhancements for the IRIS system. Matthew then joined iXL in 1999 as a Senior Consultant and was responsible for designing middle-tier functionality for an online banking project. In 2001, Matthew worked as a Senior Consultant at Efuel Inc, where they designed and developed middle-tier solutions, including a reverse-English auction site and a custom VIN decoding component. Matthew also worked as the President of Generation X Technologies, Inc. in 1997. Finally, Matthew worked as a Lead Architect at Velocitor Solutions, where they coordinated project development, system architecture, and customer interaction. Matthew designed an iOS proof-of-concept for measuring polygonal areas using satellite mapping, which was chosen by the client due to its high accuracy.

Matthew Riell attended Wake Technical Community College from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Computer Programming. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications over the years. In September 2016, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Specialist in C#. In September 2017, Matthew obtained a certification in Secure Coding from Cybrary. In January 2019, they received the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Universal Windows Platform certification. In August 2019, they obtained the Certified Professional in Foundations of DevOps ICP-FDO certification from ICAgile. Lastly, in June 2022, they became a Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate.
