Meira Shapiro has an extensive work experience spanning from 2008 to 2022. Meira began their career as a Substitute Teacher at the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach in 2008. In 2012, they took on the role of Direct Care Worker at Yachad, where they were responsible for leading and assisting individuals in life skills workshops, social skills workshops, and vocational skills trainings. In 2014, they became the Office Manager at City Process Servers, where they handled data entry and ensured that all of the information regarding each case was entered flawlessly onto a process serving computer program. In 2016, they were a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Philip J Rizzuto PC, where they obtained clients' medical records for personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home abuse cases. In 2017, they held two roles: Administrative Instructor at Ultimate Martial Arts & Fitness, where they instructed children and young adults in self-defense group lessons, and Executive Assistant at City Processionals, where they prepared and routed out mass work for multiple Process Servers. In 2018, they worked at Velocity Capital Group LLC as a Processor and an Executive Administrative Assistant, where they processed incoming loan applications into a CRM and oversaw and trained new processors. In 2021, they were a Paralegal at Jacobowitz Newman Tversky LLP. Finally, in 2022, they were an Underwriting & CEO Assistant at Velocity Capital Group and a Community Health Worker Supervisor at the Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula - JCCRP, where they supervised a team of 9 community health workers, facilitated outreach to the Rockaway Peninsula area, and collaborated relationships with community partners.

Meira Shapiro's education history includes completing a Continuing Education course in Legal Assistant/Paralegal at Hofstra University between 2015 and 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Queens College between 2008 and 2012, attending Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls between 2003 and 2007, and taking classes at Queens College prior to 2003. Additionally, they obtained a Paralegal certification in March 2016 and a Notary Public from New York State in May 2014.
