Rakesh Nagarajan

Rakesh Nagarajan currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Velsera, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this role, Rakesh co-founded PierianDx in May 2014, where contributions included serving as President, Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, and Executive Chairman, focusing on tools for managing and interpreting complex genetic tests. Rakesh's tenure at Washington University in St. Louis spanned from January 2003 to December 2015, during which numerous roles were held including Director of the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center Biomedical Informatics Core and various leadership positions in biomedical informatics and translational research. Rakesh holds an MD and PhD in Neuroscience from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia.
