Dave Lutz

Dave Lutz is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the event management and consulting industry. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for Visit Orlando since January 2024, Lutz has been the Managing Director of Velvet Chainsaw Consulting since its founding in 2006, focusing on transforming major face-to-face events for conference and tradeshow organizers. Lutz's previous leadership roles include serving on the boards of eventcore and Passkey, the latter of which was acquired by Lanyon in 2014 under their guidance. As President of ExpoExchange and Conferon from 1984 to 2006, Lutz expanded the company significantly, overseeing annual revenue of $60 million and managing over 500 employees. Lutz holds an Associate's degree in Hotel-Restaurant Management from Cincinnati Technical College.
