Mike Pettersen

Mike Pettersen has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, specializing in architecture and leadership roles. Mike currently serves as the VP of Architecture at Vena Solutions. Prior to this, they held various positions at Manulife, starting as the VP and Chief Architect for the Canadian segment before becoming the AVP and Chief Architect for the company. Mike also worked at Finastra as the Group Lead of Advanced Research Patterns & Practices, where they led a team of architects and developers, defined the company's cloud-first strategy, and supported strategic initiatives. Before that, Mike was the Director of Product Architecture and Application Solutions at D+H, leading architecture reviews, establishing cross-domain collaboration, and delivering multiple product lines. Mike also held positions at ADP, Echelon IT Solutions, Smart Systems for Health Agency, DMC, and The Oshawa Group Ltd, where they gained expertise in sales, project management, and hands-on architecture and development. Overall, they have successfully driven architecture initiatives, developed strategies, and delivered results across different organizations and domains.

Mike Pettersen attended the University of Waterloo from 1987 to 1992, majoring in Applied Physics. Before that, they completed their secondary education at I.E. Weldon Secondary School, although the dates are unknown.
