Josh Kim has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to present. In 2007, they were a Technical Assistant at the University of Chicago Genomics Facility. In 2011, they worked as a Technical Assistant at the Illinois State Geological Survey. In 2012, they were a Supplemental Instructor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the John Rogers Group. In 2013, they began their postdoctoral research at UC Irvine, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2017, they were a Panel Process and Optics Intern at Apple. Since 2019, Josh has been the CTO & Co-Founder of Vena Vitals, Inc., a company that is re-innovating the way blood pressure is monitored.
Josh Kim received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2013. Josh then completed a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Irvine in 2015, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from the same institution in 2018.
