Ray Liu

CEO & Co-Founder at Vena Vitals

Ray Liu has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. In 2002, they were a National Science Foundation Fellow in the Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center (BSAC), where they developed theory and simulation of DNA hybridization sensing using Field-Effect Transistor. In 2000, they co-founded and served as President of International Impact, a non-profit service abroad organization. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at GE Healthcare, first as a Global Product Surveillance Leader and then as a Senior Consultant in the Siemens Management Consulting. In 2013, they co-owned and served as Chief Operating Officer of Winky Designs. From 2014 to 2018, they served as Head of Product and Business Development at Socialwellth, and from 2018 to 2019, they were the Senior Director of Product Management and Strategy at Vizient, Inc. In 2019, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Vena Vitals and an Advisor at MDstewardship.

Ray Liu began their education journey at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from 1998 to 2002. Ray then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2004. Afterward, they attended Harvard Business School and earned an MBA in General Management from 2008 to 2010. In the summer of 2001, Ray Liu studied abroad at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they obtained a Study Abroad (Summer) in Political Science and Government. Most recently, they have been enrolled in Y Combinator since 2020.
