Ian Hornby

Ian Hornby has extensive work experience in various legal and strategic planning roles. Ian started their career as an Associate Solicitor at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP in 1998 and worked there until 2004. Ian then joined GE Oil & Gas as a Senior Legal Counsel & Head of Compliance from 2004 to 2010. Ian further advanced their career at QatarEnergy, where they served as a Strategic Planning Advisor for Mergers and Acquisitions from 2010 to 2011. Ian then joined DNV GL as the Head of DNV Group Legal Middle East, India & Africa from 2011 to 2014. Currently, Ian is working at Venator Materials Plc as an Associate General Counsel, a position they have held since 2015.

Ian Hornby attended Newcastle University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a degree in Law (LLB Hons) with a 2:1 achievement. Following that, they pursued further education at Northumbria University from 1997 to 1998, where they achieved a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in the field of Law.
