Brenda Sherman has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and is currently the Chief Underwriting & Innovation Officer at Venbrook Group. Prior to their current role, they served as president of Cardigan General Insurance Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Venbrook Group. In this role, they were responsible for overall management of the company, including setting strategy, achieving growth and underwriting profitability objectives, distribution management of all strategic partners, and developing new programs and products.
Before their tenure at Venbrook Group, Ms. Sherman served as Senior Vice President Commercial Underwriting at both Venbrook Group and Cardigan General Insurance Agency. In this role, they were responsible for product development, underwriting, wholesale and MGA program management for a property casualty program portfolio of over $100M.
Ms. Sherman has also held positions as President of Stonebriar Specialty Solutions, LLC, VP and Regional Underwriting Officer at Tokio Marine, Sr. Account Executive at Liberty Mutual Alternative Markets, VP Strategic Marketing Practice Leader at Willis, SVP Major Markets at CNA Risk Management, and Zone VP AIG Risk Management at AIG.

Brenda Sherman attended the University of South Florida, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and French. Brenda also participated in an exchange program at Université Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV), where they studied French Studies and International Business.
