Marcel Kester

Marcel Kester has an extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Marcel is currently serving as the CFO at Vencomatic Group since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer/Docent at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Marcel was also a member of the Advisory Board Banking4Food at Ledenraad Rabobank Utrecht e.o. Starting from 2018, Marcel held the position of Finance Director at Solina Group until February 2021. Before that, they founded Green-Logics and worked as its founder until 2020. Marcel also served as the Finance Director Retail at Vion Food Group from 2015 to 2018, and as the Group Controller/Treasurer at Wavin from 2013 to 2015. Marcel gained experience as a Project Manager, Finance Manager, Manager Acquisitions & Integrations, and Business Controller at Nutreco between 2004 and 2013. Marcel began their career as the Controller Europe at ADVANTA SEEDS from 1998 to 2004, and prior to that, they worked as the Head Assistant at KPMG Nederland from 1996 to 1998.

Marcel Kester has a diverse education history. In 1990, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Marcel later pursued a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1994 to 1996.

In 2015, Marcel enrolled in TIAS School for Business and Society, where they completed the Registercontroller / international Executive Master of Finance and Control degree program, though the specific field of study is not provided.

In 2020, they attended the University of Cambridge, specifically the Institute of Sustainability Leadership, where they earned a degree in Business Sustainability Management. During the same year, they also pursued a Post Graduate program in Governance Opleiding voor Commissarissen & Bestuurders at Wagner.

Marcel has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Beïnvloeden from Schouten & Nelissen. In January 2021, they also received a certification in Business Sustainability Management from the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge. In June 2022, they obtained the BKE Basiskwalificatie Examinering certification from Hogeschool Utrecht.
