Robert McGhie

Robert McGhie is a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience in theatrical disciplines, currently serving as the Head of Lighting at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas since February 2023. As a member of IATSE Local 363 since 1994, Robert began as a carpenter and advanced to lighting roles, securing significant positions such as Technical Director for Classical Tahoe and Supervisor of Production Leads at Grand Sierra Resort, where notable revenue growth and enhanced crew morale were achieved. Robert’s expertise includes lighting programming with the Grand MA2, managing production leads, and overseeing large-scale events. Additional experience includes serving as Crew Chief at Reno Hilton and founding the Reno Rockabilly Riot festival in collaboration with diverse artists and vendors. Robert holds education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and Truckee Meadows Community College.
