Keif Fitzgerald has over 30 years of work experience in the medical devices industry. Keif is currently the Vice President of Engineering at Venova Medical, Inc. since November 2021. Prior to their current role, Keif worked at Abbott for 6 years, starting in July 2015 as the Director of Product Development and leaving in October 2021. Before joining Abbott, Keif spent 5 years at Thoratec as a Sr. Manager for the PHP Program, from June 2010 to July 2015. Keif began their career at Abbott Vascular Devices in October 1995 as a Manager R&D, specializing in developing stent manufacturing processes and leading cross-functional teams in the development of endovascular medical devices. Keif also had prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer at EP Technologies for 7 months in 1995, as well as a Process Engineer at Microflow Analytical from March 1994 to March 1995. Keif started their career at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems in February 1990 and worked there as a Process Engineer until March 1994.
Keif Fitzgerald obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, from 1980 to 1983. Later on, from 1983 to 1984, they pursued a credential in Science Teaching from California State University - East Bay. In the years 1988 to 1990, Keif Fitzgerald attended San Jose State University, where they obtained another Bachelor of Science degree, this time in Material Engineering. Lastly, from 1991 to 1993, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Santa Clara University.
