Tom Wilder is the current advisor at Vensana Capital. Tom has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Vensana, Tom was the President and CEO of Sequent Medical, a privately-held medical device company that pioneered a novel new treatment for cerebral aneurysms, the WEB Aneurysm Embolization System. The company was acquired by Terumo in July 2016 for $280M plus up to $100M in a PMA-based milestone payment. Prior to Sequent, Tom served as the President and CEO of PhotoThera, Inc., a developer of transcranial laser therapy (TLT) for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke within twenty-four hours of stroke onset. Before PhotoThera, Tom was the Vice President & General Manager of Endovascular Stent Grafts at Medtronic, Inc. Tom has also served as the President and CEO of MicroTherapeutics, Inc.

Tom Wilder received their MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and their B.A. in Economics from Stanford University. Tom also attended Air Academy High School.
