Mert Colpan currently serves as a Pharma Services Scientist at Roche since February 2023. Prior to this role, Mert held multiple positions at the University of Arizona, including Researcher/Scientist IV and Postdoctoral Research Associate III in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine from October 2016 to February 2023. Mert's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Washington State University, complemented by experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same institution, where research focused on tropomodulin and leiomodin proteins. Additional experience includes roles as a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Arizona and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Montana State University. Mert developed a robust skill set in biological and engineering principles, highlighted by a practical internship at the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Justice Institute of Forensic Science. Mert holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Bioengineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and Istanbul Technical University.
