Michael Russell

Michael Russell has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President, Asset Management at Ventas, Inc. Michael started in this role in February 2021. Prior to this, they were the Director of Asset Management at the same company from October 2018 to February 2021. From March 2016 to October 2018, they served as the Director of Investments at Ventas, Inc. Before joining Ventas, Inc., Michael worked at Halvorson and Partners as a Senior Project Engineer from February 2011 to October 2013. Michael also held the positions of Project Engineer from January 2008 to February 2011 and Staff Engineer from May 2003 to January 2008 at the same company.

Michael Russell has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with concentrations in Finance, Strategic Management, and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they completed from 2012 to 2015. Before that, they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Florida, which they pursued from 2001 to 2003. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Michael Russell also holds additional certifications including LEED Accredited Professional BD+C from the US Green Building Council and professional engineering licenses in Structural and Civil Engineering from the State of Illinois.
