Roeland Borsboom

Project Director at Ventolines

Roeland Borsboom has extensive work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on project management and leadership roles. Roeland most recently served as a Project Director at Ventolines, where they are currently working. Prior to that, they were the Project Director and CEO at Blauwwind. Before entering the renewable energy sector, they held various positions at Shell Global Solutions International, including General Manager Project Services Upstream Development and General Manager Projects Upstream Netherlands, Gabon & New Business. Roeland also served as the Project Director for the Corrib project and as the Deputy Technical Manager for Majnoon. Roeland Borsboom began their career as a Civil Construction engineer at Nigeria LNG Limited, followed by roles as Civil & Project Engineer at Shell Nederland Raffinaderij BV and Civil Engineer at Shell Global Solutions. Roeland also served as an Officer Genie at the Royal Dutch Army.

Roeland Borsboom completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Roeland attended the university from 1980 to 1987. Prior to that, they attended Rijks Scholen GemeenschapBrielle from 1974 to 1980, where they completed their Grammar School education.

In addition to their formal education, Roeland Borsboom has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. Roeland received the APM Registered Project Professional certification from APM in February 2017. In November 2009, they obtained the Shell Project Academy Level 3 certification through the Shell internal system.
