Chris Gaskins

Chris Gaskins is an experienced firefighter and paramedic with a career spanning over 18 years in emergency services. Currently serving as a firefighter with the Ventura County Fire Department since March 2018, Chris previously worked as a community paramedic at American Medical Response from August 2010 to March 2018, focusing on alleviating emergency room pressures through specialized training. Chris also held the position of paramedic supervisor and firefighter/paramedic at Fillmore Fire Department from February 2008 to January 2016 and worked as a paramedic at American Medical Response in both Ventura and San Diego from December 2005 to August 2010 and July 2004 to December 2005, respectively. Educational qualifications include studies at El Camino Real High School, Mt. San Antonio College, and Compton College's James Shern Fire Academy.

The Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) is an all-hazard, full-service agency with more than 580 dedicated men and women. VCFD proudly provides fire protection, medical aid, rescue, hazardous materials response, and a variety of other services to the public. Formed in 1928 as a special district, VCFD serves more than 480,000 citizens in unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Our response area covers 848 square miles, including the following cities: Ojai, Port Hueneme, Moorpark, Camarillo, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks.
