Emke Prakken

Emke Prakken has a diverse work experience in various industries. Emke started their career as an intern at the Amsterdam Museum, where they supported the events and marketing communication departments. Emke later interned at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, where they worked in the press office, handling press releases and maintaining media relations.

Emke then worked as a hostess at Wijnbar Boelen & Boelen before taking on the role of secretary at Almanak A.S.C./A.V.S.V. 2014. Emke also served as the president of Dispuutgezelschap V.I.S.H.N.U., where they represented the student association, organized activities, and recruited new members.

In 2014, Emke joined Kuti Wildlife Reserve in Malawi as the Hospitality and Marketing Manager, responsible for hospitality, marketing, social media, and the volunteer program. Emke then transitioned to Charlie's Travels, where they held various roles including Travel Consultant, Sales Manager for Southern Africa, Region Manager Southern Africa, and finally, Head of Sales.

Currently, Emke is the Founder & Director of Africaventura at Ventura TRAVEL. In this role, they are responsible for product development, sales, operations, and overall brand identity. Their aim is to change travelers' perception of the African continent by creating authentic and sustainable travel experiences.

Emke Prakken's education history includes the following:

From 2008 to 2012, Emke Prakken attended Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, studying Advertisement, Marketing & Communication.

In 2011, Prakken pursued a Minor in Marketing van de culturele sector at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

From 2012 to 2014, Prakken studied Kunstgeschiedenis (Art History) at the University of Amsterdam.

Prakken's education continued in 2016 when they attended the Limpopo Field Guiding Academy, specializing in Field Guide and Game Ranger Training.
