Roxanne Solomon

Roxanne is a proud past student of St George’s College, following which she went on to pursue a Certificate in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies.

She continued her education by pursuing the professional accounting designation – CIMA – the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the UK and is a Fellow of the Institute.

She went on to lecture/tutor for over ten (10) years in Management, Strategy, Financial Accounting, Management accounting for CIMA, ACCA and UWI-DEC students via institutes like UWI, Omardeen’s School of Accounting and Arthur Lok Jack Business School.

Additionally, she has taught/counselled CXC/CAPE students, assisted MBA students and moderated for the Institute of Banking and Finance. Her working career consists of:

Ten (10) years in the retail/distribution sector (Ansa McAl Group).

Almost twenty (20) years with First Citizens Bank, where she garnered experience in the many facets of banking operating across varied roles leaving as a Senior Manager.

Four (4) years with the Royal Bank Of Canada as the first female Vice-President in the Caribbean for RBC (Canada) and member of the Caribbean Executive prior to the acquisition of RBTT. She was voted Woman Leader of the Year in 2008 for the Caribbean and her strong statements were used for the Bank’s Diversity Report for 2008.

Two (2) years with CIBC FirstCaribbean and was instrumental in establishing the Platinum Banking Unit in Trinidad.

Three (3) years at the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago in the role of Specialist Advisor to the Deputy Governor – Monetary Operations and Policy and played a key role in the project of the elimination of the one (1) cent coin.

On 28th November, 2018 Roxanne joined VENTURE Credit Union as Head of Credit Administration.

Roxanne’s passion is her avid interest in continuous development and sharing her knowledge/experiences to elevate lives. She is a mother, grandmother and a true patriot of Trinidad and Tobago.
