Demola Idowu

Co-Founder at Venture Garden Group

Demola Idowu has over 25 years of experience leading innovative teams across Africa and beyond. He also has over 10 years of extensive experience in software development across various sectors in Nigeria, Canada, and the United States of America. Demola has contributed to the development and scaling of over 45 innovative technological solutions for US Fortune 500 companies including Daewoo Motors, where he successfully implemented the full automation and inventory of the automobile company.

As a computer software and technology geek right from his early days, he found a training college near his home in Festac, Lagos and began investing time and resources into software development in his community. A lover of sports, he also led the development of a software for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) which aided in tracking match statistics, a revolutionary technology hallmark at the time.

Demola holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Akure and the University of Lagos, respectively. He has a particular interest in building viable systems around education and learning. For example, while still an undergraduate, he, alongside Bunmi and a team of dedicated builders, developed a Student Information System for Junior School Certificate candidates in Nigeria, implicated across several states.

He is also the co-founder of Venture Garden Group and Splashers Technology, Nigeria.
