Douglas Wharton

Douglas Wharton has a diverse range of work experience in the energy industry. Douglas currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of LNG Marketing at Venture Global LNG, where they are involved in the development and production of affordable and reliable LNG. Prior to this, they worked at Cheniere Energy, Inc., where they served as Vice President of Origination and Marketing for Asia. Douglas also held the roles of Director of Origination and Marketing for Asia at the same company. Before working at Cheniere Energy, Inc., Douglas worked at Chevron, where they held several positions including SDS Manager for the Asia Pacific region and Senior Economic Analyst. Douglas also participated in the Graduate Development Program in the role of Commercial Analyst. Douglas began their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, focusing on business development. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Economic Analyst at Cambridge Systematics.

Douglas Wharton obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lafayette College in the period from 1997 to 2001. Douglas later pursued a Master of International Affairs degree in Energy Management and Policy from Columbia | SIPA between 2005 and 2007.
