Kate Kaufmann Shih

Kate Kaufmann Shih currently serves as Associate General Counsel and Head of Litigation at Venture Global LNG since July 2023. Prior to this, Kate held the position of Partner at Quinn Emanuel from June 2016 to July 2023, and also served as Of Counsel and Trial Attorney during that time. Kate began a career as a Trial Attorney at Gibbs & Bruns, LLP from October 2010 until June 2016, and gained judicial experience as Law Clerk to the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas from 2008 to 2010. Kate's legal career commenced at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as a Litigation Attorney from September 2006 to June 2008. Educationally, Kate holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School, attained between 2003 and 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Philosophy from Stanford University, completed in 2003.
