Maria Karam is a Canadian entrepreneur and business mentor. Maria is currently a mentor at ventureLAB, a technology incubator in Toronto.

Prior to their current role, Maria was the co-founder and CEO of Meta, a startup that developed an artificial intelligence platform for e-commerce. Maria has also held various roles in startups and tech companies such as The Inventors Nest, Silicon Drinkabout Toronto, ncubeeight.com, Eye-LIVE Media Inc., Tactile Audio Displays Inc., and Somato Cherry.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kings College London.

Maria Karam has a PhD in Human Computer Interactions from the University of Southampton. Maria also has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Human Computer Interaction from the University of Toronto - Woodsworth College. Additionally, they are a Seniour Visiting Research Fellow in Informatics at King's College London and a Visiting Academic in Informatics at King's College London. Maria also has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Southampton. Lastly, they have a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Toronto.
