Charlie Banks

Charlie Banks has extensive experience in entrepreneurship and investment. Charlie co-founded VentureSouth in 2013, a prominent early-stage investment infrastructure in the US. As co-founder and managing director, they oversaw the development and management of angel investment groups and funds, investing over $80M in 100+ early-stage companies throughout the Southeast. In 2014, they became the executive director of Venture Carolina, a nonprofit that supports the growth of early-stage companies in the Southeast. Prior to these roles, Charlie was the principal at The Banks Group, LLC and the portfolio manager and special projects manager at CertusBank. Charlie also founded PanelTech Building Systems and WilBanks Financial Solutions, where they served as CEO.

Charlie Banks attended Newberry College from 2001 to 2005 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies.
