Martin Van Den Brink has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Martin started their career as a Project Manager/Consultant in Logistics IT processes at Compaq in 1996. Martin then worked as a Business Process Management consultant at Hewlett-Packard from 2003 to 2006, delivering projects in multiple countries. After that, they joined EDS (an HP company) as a Practice Principal MDI, where they were responsible for managing MDI projects and business operations. In 2010, Martin worked at Topec Waste 2 Energy as a Project Lead, focusing on software, electrical/instrumentation, and integration. Martin also worked as a Consultant/Project Manager at Gain Automation Technology BV from 2010 to 2012. Following this, they joined iSOFT as a Scrum Master, specializing in pharmacy medication MDC and logistics. From 2012 to 2016, Martin held the position of Engineering and Field Operations Manager at VWS MPP Systems BV. Currently, they serve as the Operations & Services Director at Veolia Water Technologies.

Martin Van Den Brink completed their education with a MSc in Physics from Delft University of Technology from the years 1983 to 1988. Before that, they attended Atheneum Chr. Scholengemeenschap Oude Hoven Gorinchem from 1977 to 1983. In addition to their education, Martin has obtained certifications such as Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org and VCA V.O.L. from Koninklijke PBNA NV in 2010.
