Egor Chaplygin

Egor Chaplygin, ACCA, CIA, currently serves as the Head of Accounting and Tax and Head of Financial Reporting & Digitalization at Volkswagen Group Rus since January 2021. Concurrently, Egor has been with VEON since October 2016 in various roles, including Global Process Owner and Performance Transformation Manager, with responsibilities encompassing ERP implementation, business process optimization, CSR initiatives, and financial performance monitoring. Prior experience includes a tenure as Audit Manager at PwC Russia from February 2008 to September 2016, where Egor managed audit projects, oversaw financial statement audits under IFRS and US GAAP, and provided consulting on financial reporting. Educational qualifications include ACCA and a Certified Internal Auditor designation, supplemented by degrees in economics from Far Eastern Federal University and the Higher School of Economics.
