Nayab Babar

Nayab Babar, CFA, is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in leading strategic investments across Pakistan and Bangladesh. Currently serving as an Investment Partner at VEON Ventures since September 2020, Nayab has successfully spearheaded significant initiatives, including the largest Series A funding round in Pakistan for Dastgyr and an ongoing $250 million investment in the digital fintech sector. Previous roles include Financial Services Consultant at Chemonics International and Manager of Investments and Strategy at Frontier Works Organization, where Nayab focused on project finance, financial modeling, and negotiations for various public-private partnership projects. Further experience includes consulting with the World Bank Group on infrastructure financing, financial analysis at Bridge Factor Pvt Limited, and academic engagement as Visiting Faculty at the University of London International. Nayab holds multiple degrees, including a CFA charter and a Master’s in Finance and Banking from Queen Mary University of London.
