Akosua Ohene (Naana)

Akosua Ohene, also known as Naana, is an experienced manager with a strong background in event planning and people engagement. Presently serving as the Manager of People Engagement and Event Manager at the Vera Institute of Justice since July 2019, Akosua has previously held significant roles, including Service Events Manager at New York Cares, where responsibilities included leading large-scale service events and managing community partnerships. Prior experience includes serving as Special Events Manager at the New York Hall of Science and a Lead Aide at Pace University, assisting in the organization of university events and student activities. An intern at NAACP, Akosua contributed to the planning of national events and corporate sponsorship efforts. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Pace University and ongoing studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology for a certificate in Haute Couture.
