Janell Woods

Janell Woods is an experienced professional with a diverse background in operations and community support. Currently serving as an Operations Associate and previously as a Community Associate at the Vera Institute of Justice since January 2023, Janell has dedicated experience working with vulnerable populations, including teens and teen mothers, during a tenure as a Reading Interventionist with Baltimore City Public Schools. Past roles include a Patient Access Specialist at Johns Hopkins Medicine and teaching at KinderCare Education. Additionally, Janell has held various customer service positions, including Department Supervisor at H&M and Sales Associate at major retailers such as DSW, Macy's, and Finish Line. Janell holds a Master's degree in Human Service Administration from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Florida.
