Jim Parsons

Jim Parsons has over 20 years of work experience in the field of criminal justice and research. Jim was a Research Assistant at the Centre for Research in Drugs and Health Behaviour from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Research Fellow at The School of Pharmacy, University of London. Parsons then joined the Criminal Policy Research Unit as a Research Fellow from 2000 to 2003. Jim continued their career at the Vera Institute of Justice, starting as a Senior Research Associate from 2003 to 2006. Jim then held various positions at the Vera Institute, including Research Director - International Program from 2008 to 2014, Program Director - Substance Use and Mental Health from 2006 to 2014, and currently serving as the Research Director and Vice President since May 2014.
