Kimberly Cavanaugh is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education, leadership development, and youth sports. Currently serving as the Learning & Development Manager at the Vera Institute of Justice since October 2022, Kimberly has also held significant roles as the Board President and Founder of Nighthawks Youth Lacrosse Association since 2012, supporting girls' lacrosse in San Diego. Prior experience includes roles as a Leadership Facilitator at LifeLabs Learning, where Kimberly contributed to manager training for various innovative companies, and as an Instructor and Course Designer for Poway Unified School District, developing curriculum and training programs. Additional experience includes coaching varsity lacrosse to championship victories and work as an Associate Research Staff member at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. Kimberly holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Learning Design & Technology from San Diego State University, alongside qualifications in chemistry and biology.
