Marta Nelson

Marta Nelson has extensive experience in the field of criminal justice and advocacy. Marta is currently working as the Director of Government Strategy, Advocacy and Partnership Department at the Vera Institute of Justice. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Fellow at the same organization. Marta also worked for the New York State government, where they held the position of Executive Director for Reentry and Special Counselor for Criminal Justice Initiatives. Before their government role, they were the Executive Director for the New York City branch of the Center for Employment Opportunities.
