Nina Siulc has a diverse work experience, primarily in research and academia. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as the Director of Research at the Center on Immigration and Justice at the Vera Institute of Justice. In 2008, they became an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at UMass Amherst, a position they held until 2012. During their time at UMass Amherst, they also worked as an Assistant Professor in Anthropology and Criminal Justice at Rutgers-New Brunswick from 2012 to 2018. In 2018, they returned to the Vera Institute of Justice as the Director of the Research Center, and later took on the roles of Director of Immigration Research and Director of Research Initiatives.
Nina Siulc has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Latin American and Iberian Studies from Bard College. Nina also earned a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, with a focus on Culture and Media, from New York University.
