Valentina Gonzalez

Valentina Gonzalez is a dedicated media professional with a strong background in communications and human rights advocacy. Currently serving as a Media Coordinator at the Vera Institute of Justice since April 2024, Valentina previously held the position of Elbaz Fellow in the Communications Division at Human Rights Watch, where support was provided for media strategies related to significant research products. Valentina's experience includes a role as a Communications Assistant at the Mgrublian Center for Human Rights, conducting impactful legal research, and serving as an intern at the Rerooted Archive, where assistance was given in digital archival documentation. Additional internships and roles at Human Rights Watch and other organizations provided valuable experience in media campaigns and communications. Valentina holds a degree in International Relations with a focus on Human Rights, Genocide, and Holocaust Studies from Claremont McKenna College, supplemented by international studies at Universidad Pablo de Olavide.
