Fouad Hassouneh

Head Of Product Management - Bsa/aml at Verafin

Fouad Hassouneh has a diverse range of work experience. Fouad started their career at Memorial University of Newfoundland as a Developer (Student) in 2009. Fouad then moved on to C-CORE, where they worked as a Remote Sensing Engineer (Student) from 2010 to 2012.

In 2013, Fouad joined Verafin and held several roles within the company. Fouad started as a DevOps Engineer and later became a Team Lead on the Cloud Platform from 2014 to 2016. Fouad then transitioned to the role of Analytics Team Lead - AML in 2017, where they created an analytical agent using open-source data to detect Financial Crime activity. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Product Lead - AML, where they coordinated project planning and execution and advised senior stakeholders on project methodologies.

Most recently, Fouad has been serving as the Head of Product Management - BSA/AML at Verafin since July 2020. In this role, they are responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, as well as reviewing sales, customer concerns, and new opportunities to drive business strategy.

Fouad Hassouneh pursued their education in the field of engineering. Fouad first attended Hariri Canadian University from 2006 to 2008, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. Following this, from 2009 to 2014, they enrolled at Memorial University of Newfoundland to earn another Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree, this time in Computer Engineering. Lastly, in 2016 and 2017, they attended freeCodeCamp and obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.
