David Placet

David Placet serves as the Head of Strategic Planning and M&A at Verallia since November 2018, responsible for monitoring the competitive landscape, leading strategic planning, and directing key M&A projects, including the €1bn IPO in 2019. Prior to this role, David held several significant positions at Sequana, culminating as Head of Group Strategy and M&A, where achievements included managing complex M&A transactions and executing strategic restructuring plans. David also contributed as Finance and Strategy Director at Arjowiggins Security, overseeing financial and strategic functions, and gained extensive experience at Lehman Brothers in various roles within investment banking, advising on significant transactions across Europe. An academic background includes a Master of Science in Finance from HEC Paris, along with teaching roles in finance. David's career also includes a unique twelve-month round-the-world trip and success as a personal investor focused on equity markets.
