Doug Pedersen has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning over several decades. Doug'smost recent role was as an Analytical Chemist at Veranova since October 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from April 2018 to October 2019. Doug also served as a Consultant at Aralez Pharmaceuticals Inc. from August 2017 to April 2018.

Before their consultancy roles, Doug held various positions at Shire Pharmaceuticals, including Associate Director, Process Development Leader, and Technical Operations from January 2014 to January 2017. Prior to that, they worked at ViroPharma Incorporated for a significant portion of their career. At ViroPharma, Doug served as an Assistant Director from July 2003 to January 2014, where they were responsible for supporting drug development and ongoing product support. Doug also held the role of Manager Analytical, Technical Development and Operations from July 2009 to January 2010, and Senior Scientist in Analytical Development prior to that.

Doug began their career at Delsys Pharmaceutical Corporation as a Senior Scientist from July 1998 to April 2003. Before that, they served as a Senior Scientist at Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1984 to 1998, where they focused on analytical method development and validation.

Throughout their career, Doug has gained expertise in analytical chemistry, process development, product support, and quality assurance.

Doug Pedersen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the years 1977 to 1981. Doug then pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University from 1989 to 1993. Later, Doug completed their education with a Master of Science degree in QA/RA from Temple University spanning from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in "Project Management Skills for Leaders" from LinkedIn in June 2023 and in "How to Create a Perfect Elevator Pitch" from LinkedIn in August 2019.
