John Tindal has over 35 years of work experience in various roles related to engineering and compliance. John is currently working as the Engineering and Compliance Manager for Veranova (Scotland) where they are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry, and legal requirements. John also develops and executes asset integrity strategies and plans for obsolescence management. In addition, they serve as the EC&I Technical Authority and Functional Safety lead.

Prior to their current role, John worked at Johnson Matthey as a Senior Electrical Control & Instrument Engineer and Technical Authority.

From 2006 to 2022, they owned and operated TINDAL PROJECTS AND AUTOMATION LIMITED.

John was the Engineering Manager at Tullis Russell Papermakers from 2003 to 2006. In this role, they developed site Engineering Strategy programs, managed maintenance budgets, and implemented key performance indicators. John also focused on planned and preventative maintenance strategies and improved planned maintenance work adherence.

At GlaxoSmithKline, John served as a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer from 1998 to 2003. John was Deputy Maintenance Improvements Manager and worked on C&I design for plant/process improvements. John also managed control system development and software change design.

Prior to that, John worked at THAMES POWER SERVICES LIMITED as the Control Systems Team Leader. John was responsible for line management of Control Systems, Instrumentation, and IT departments.

John started their career at ExxonMobil as a Process Analytical Instrument Shift Technician.

Throughout their career, John has gained extensive experience in engineering, compliance, asset management, and team leadership.

John Tindal attended Abertay University from 1999 to 2002. The degree name and field of study are not provided.
